Project activities:
EU countries experiences in rural tourism - seminar
The goal of the seminar, which took places in three municipalities of the Timok Region - Kladovo, Bor, Knjazevac, wass to strengthen capacities of local public authorities and tourist services providers through development of knowledge and skills for modern approaches and introduction of advanced European know-how. Acquired knowledge will facilitate participation in preparation of the Regional strategy for rural tourism development of the Timok Region and meet requirements of EU in this field.
Program of the seminar:
1. Presentations delivered by Slovak Experts in the following topics:
- Legal, policy and institutional framework for support of rural tourism development on the national as well as on EU and local level in V4 countries compared to the current state in Serbia - Michal Schvalb, Program Analyst, Carpathian Development Institute
- Creating tourist supply (tourist products), joint marketing - current EU trends and standards
- Best practices from V4 countries regarding rural tourism (support mechanisms, already functioning successful products etc.) being transferable, to the Serbian environment/framework/condition - Viera Stupakova, Specialist in Rural Tourism
